A combination of ambition, perseverance, a positive attitude and strong work ethic have allowed Rina Gill to become the successful person she is today. She is a multi-faceted woman running a business empire for over 15 years locally, nationally and globally. Rina has an Honours University degree, College diploma and has completed a Government Entrepreneurship program. After leaving the corporate world to pursue entrepreneurship full-time, Rina simultaneously launched the Vancouver chapter of the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce and became the National Director of B.C. Operations. Over the years, Rina has been nominated and won awards for Women in Business, Chamber of Commerce “Member of the Year” and received various awards and recognition for Volunteer/Community Work across Canada. 

Rina has run for Surrey City Council previously and missed getting elected by 1 spot in 2 elections. The highest number of votes she received was 28,100 votes. Rina’s knowledge of politics not only stems from first-hand experience running as a candidate, she has also worked on election campaigns for all levels of government, so she has also developed a thorough understanding and solid foundation. Politics/Public Service is not only a passion of Rina’s, it’s a way of life.

Aside from her strong business and political acumen, Rina is also very well-connected on the grassroots level of the community from her extensive work with non-profits and community organizations, which spans over 2 decades. Volunteerism and Philanthropy are very close to Rina’s heart and she has exemplified this by sitting on 20+ boards and committees for various causes and community initiatives over the years.

Some of the organizations she’s worked with include: PICS (Progressive Intercultural Community Services), Friends of the Surrey Museum & Archives Society, Heritage Advisory Committee, Newton Advocacy Society, Surrey Urban Farmers Market, Harmony House, Cycling 4 Diversity and YWCA Single Mothers Housing Development, just to name a few.

One of Rina’s own personal passion projects, which she launched in Surrey, BC in 2011 is a Health Expo and Health Magazine that has been very well-received by the community. It is a FREE admission trade show event for the entire family and showcases various small businesses, non-profits and community organizations from the health, wellness, beauty and fitness industries.

The Health Magazine is distributed for free as a hard copy and the digital version is also available online. The goal is to encourage the community to be more proactive and take control of their health by offering them free information, tools, resources and the opportunity to connect with credible health experts. “Health is Wealth” is an important message that is consistently emphasized throughout all of Rina’s work.
