Aside from her strong business and political acumen, Rina is also very well-connected on the grassroots level of the community from her extensive work with non-profits and community organizations, which spans over 2 decades. Volunteerism and Philanthropy are very close to Rina’s heart and she has exemplified this by sitting on 20+ boards and committees for various causes and community initiatives over the years.
Some of the organizations she’s worked with include: PICS (Progressive Intercultural Community Services), Friends of the Surrey Museum & Archives Society, Heritage Advisory Committee, Newton Advocacy Society, Surrey Urban Farmers Market, Harmony House, Cycling 4 Diversity and YWCA Single Mothers Housing Development, just to name a few.
